It’s always a great feeling when you wake up in the morning and realize it is FRIDAY! Yay! Here in chicago it is a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine. This is quite welcome after all of the rain we have had. It’s graduation time so plenty of parties that have to be attended but if you have some free time this weekend here are some things that are happening around town!
Chicago’s Blue Festival (June 7-9) – if you have never been you have to check out this awesome festival. Located at Millennium park and will begin music at 11am each day on 6 different stages with the main pavilion feature headliners from 5 to 9 each evening. There will be food, drinks and most importantly Blues music.
Fest season is in full bloom in chicago so i am going to just list out the remaining ones I have seen.

If you are looking for a little exercise before you start to indulge in drinks, food and music there is the Chicago Beer 5K. This is being held at Grant Park Saturday June 8th from 11am to 2pm and will include a 5k run or ¼ mile walk along with beer tasting after (how fun!!!). https://www.beer5k.com/chicago
Wells Street Art Fair is going on Saturday and Sunday this weekend! I love going to this and just walking around and taking in all the artists. They also have live music, food and drinks! https://www.wellsstreetartfest.us/
The Chicago Cubs are hosting the St. Louis Cardinals. These are always fun games to attend as the rivalry has been going on forever so be on the look out for a ton of St. Louis fans in Chicago this weekend.
So many things to choose from in the summer months in Chicago it is hard to pick just one – that is if you don’t already have several graduation parties to go to. I am personally hoping to spend as much time as possible outside this weekend and enjoy the weather while we have it.
