Well we are a week into the new year! How is everybody doing on their resolutions? I am working on 30 days at a time. I have decided to commit to no chips for 30 days, 30 days of sun salutations everyday and no spending on un-needed items for 30 days.
I love yoga and think it is so good for our bodies and our minds. I have not been practicing it regularly for quite some time. I am hoping by adding this to my daily routine it will help me get back on track. Here is an article on the benefits of Sun Salutations.
Yoga teaches us the importance of breathing. I know that i have gotten through some very anxious and high stress times by using mindful breathing techniques. Here is an article on 3 different types of breathing exercises.
I have used the 4-7-8 breathing quite often to calm my mind and help me get relaxed for bed. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you!
Been working on a room in my house to go for relaxing, yoga and hobbies. We don’t all have enough space for a whole room ( and believe me my house it small). But we can make a space just for this! Here are some tips on this:
