Baking in the Fall

I love baking at this time of year.  And one of my favorite things to bake is banana bread.  I spent all day in the backyard getting ready for winter.   Cutting down all of my perennials and getting rid of all of my annuals.   Such a different feeling then spring when everything is starting to grow.  But in the end when everything is cut down and put away for the colder months the yard looks so nice too!

After I was done with all of that I came into the house and made chili mac for dinner (I will post a recipe for that on another day).    And then I baked banana bread.  The smell throughout the house is wonderful!

With all that said here is my recipe for Banana bread!  I hope you enjoy it!

Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1 Stick unsalted butter

2 Eggs

3 Bananas

1 Tablespoon of milk

1.5 teaspoons cinnamon

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Grease a loaf pan

Mix the sugar and butter in mixing bowl until fluffy

Mix in the eggs

In a separate bowl mash the bananas and mix in the milk and cinnamon.

In another bowl mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Mix all 3 mixtures into one large bowl until the flour disappears

Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes.
