Today is a crisp fall day in Chicago. Beautiful day to walk through the neighborhood and see all the fall decorations. I love seeing all the fall and Halloween decorations and the beautiful fall flowers. I have mums on my back deck and on my front stoop and some mums that grow back each year out in front of my house.
With Oct 1st just a couple of days away I have put out my fall decorations in front of the house. I went to Michaels and purchased some sunflower stakes to put in the front of the house. I also got a pumpkin planter to put one of my mums in. They are all so much fun!
I spent the rest of the day doing some fall cleaning in the house to get ready to spend lazy cold days all comfy in the house. I love spending the chilly fall days taking walks and then cleaning the house so when night comes I can get under a blanket light all my candles and read a good book. Can’t beat the great scents of fall candles. Some of my favorites are Yankee Spiced Pumpkin and the Autumn Leaves scent.
I also spent the day doing some fall comfort food cooking. Turning on the oven and cooking some casseroles in the fall make the house feel even cozier. So I will leave you with a comfort food casserole recipe that I made today. I hope you enjoy it. Please let us know if you liked it or if there are any changes you would make.
I hope you enjoy your fall weekend wherever you are.
